50 stories share field notes on climate change

Written on June 6, 2011 by Seasons End No Comments »

A project of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and its partners, Open Spaces is featuring stories of how accelerating climate change may be affecting fish and wildlife throughout the 50 states. Begun on Earth Day, the project will post a daily blog through the work week to show the broad scope of changes and emerging trends observed in the field. The stories will also document collaborative efforts nation-wide to respond to the effects of climate change.

Accessible to the general reader, the stories could be used to increase public understanding of the effects of climate change. A calendar highlights stories that may be of particular interest to hunters and anglers.

Editor’s note: Seasons’ End is committed to communicating professionally published information on climate change and providing a forum for the discussion of field observations and opinions. Partner organizations may not always endorse or agree with field observations or opinions posted on the site.
